2008 will mark the 50th anniversary of the launching of Explorer I – America’s first satellite. In commemoration of this event Music Box International has commissioned a new play, ROCKET GIRL – the true story of Mary Sherman, America’s first female rocket scientist. ROCKET GIRL tells the heretofore secret story of a young woman who played a historic and crucial role in bringing America into the Space Age.
