A musical play by George Morgan

THUNDER IN THE VALLEY is the story of 15 year-old Emily Foster. The year is 1994. Bill Clinton is President, the economy is on fire, and the U.S. is bogged down in Bosnia.

In the little town of Rio Verde Emily and her friends attend class at the same place their great grandparents did; an old, traditional, one-room schoolhouse.

But the future is encroaching. When they discover a developer's plans to level the school for a new Walmart parking lot, Emily, influenced by her mother's past as a youthful 60's activist, decides to mount a children's crusade to save the school. Underestimating the power of the forces she goes up against (including her own mother), the experience changes Emily, and the town of Rio Verde, forever.
